A tyre problem during a Torabhaig Distillery visit

Finding a flat tyre before or after a Torabhaig visit can interrupt a carefully timed day in Sleat. Identify the car and speak to the visitor team before treating the parking space as a work site. A distillery tour and a mobile tyre appointment need separate access, timing and approval arrangements.

Use the Teangue address and the actual visitor bay

Torabhaig lists its visitor address in Teangue, Sleat. Say whether the car is on its premises or at nearby accommodation. The landmark can describe the area without identifying the vehicle, so add the entrance, registration and position within the parking area.

Its access statement describes managed visitor parking and dedicated accessible spaces. Do not treat such a space or an adjacent route as spare room for equipment. Explain the room around the affected wheel and any instruction staff give about access.

Speak to staff before arranging work during a tour

Tell the visitor team about the immobilised car and ask whether the proposed maintenance is permitted. Parking a visitor car is different from carrying out a tyre job. Pass any condition or proposed location to the booking team before attendance is accepted.

If a tour is due to start, decide who can remain contactable, provide keys and authorise the agreed work. Do not assume that an appointment can finish while your whole group is away. Tour duration does not establish the time needed for tyre supply or assessment.

Provide a specification rather than just a car model

Photograph the full sidewall of the relevant tyre, not only the large size marking. Add quantity, axle position and any damage or pressure-loss history. Mention prior sealant use and locate the locking wheel nut key before you accept a fitting visit.

A hired car needs the rental provider process followed, including any approval or product requirements. Explain the information still outstanding so the proposed work can be checked. An assessment may lead to repair or replacement; the enquiry itself does not guarantee either result.

Review the fitting plan before continuing through Sleat

Choose urgent help for the current problem or request an available planned slot if the vehicle can remain at permitted accommodation. Review the complete fitted quote alongside the agreed parking location. A nearby attraction does not establish a fitter departure point or arrival time.

Tell us about checkout, another visit or an Armadale sailing as real constraints. Check changes to those bookings with their providers. Avoid driving on a flat to move to the next attraction; if the car cannot be worked on where it stands, explain that restriction first.

A LITTLE PREPARATION

Before you book

  • Confirm the car is at Torabhaig, not elsewhere in Teangue.
  • Ask staff about parking and maintenance permission.
  • Prepare tyre markings, rental approval and the key.
  • Agree an authorised reachable person for the appointment.
YOUR NEXT STEP

Your tyres, taken care of.

Tell us where you’ve safely stopped and what your vehicle needs. We’ll check availability and confirm your quote and arrival estimate.

GOOD TO KNOW

Your questions, answered.

Can fitting happen automatically while we are on the tour?

No. The work needs permission, a suitable bay and an agreed authorised contact with keys. A tour reservation does not establish a tyre appointment.

Should I use the distillery pin for nearby accommodation?

Use the property where the car actually stands. Torabhaig can support directions but should not replace a different entrance or parking location.
