Armadale, in practical terms
Set aside fitting time before your Armadale sailing.
Armadale is the Skye end of the ferry route to Mallaig. A tyre problem here may happen before check-in, after arrival or at nearby accommodation. Give us the exact location and your travel plans. The team can assess a visit, but cannot promise a sailing connection or assume permission to work in a terminal queue.
The approach to your vehicle.
- If you are at the terminal, speak to port staff about your vehicle position and any work on site.
- Tell us your ferry check-in deadline as well as the sailing time.
- If you have already left Armadale, book the actual place where the vehicle is safely stopped.
What this service involves.
Arrange a tyre visit without planning a separate journey to a garage. Tell us about your vehicle, the tyre you need and where it will be parked. The team checks the tyre specification, fitter availability and access before confirming the appointment. For a vehicle that can remain parked safely, a next-day slot has a lower proposed callout charge than urgent attendance.
Good to know
Your Armadale tyre visit.
Can fitting be arranged in Armadale before I sail to Mallaig?
You can request a suitable appointment in advance of travel. Allow an agreed window for the work and check current ferry arrangements separately; the tyre booking does not guarantee your connection.
Can I book from the vehicle registration alone?
A registration lookup can help identify the vehicle, but it does not prove the tyre currently fitted. Please confirm the sidewall size or send a clear photo before the tyre is ordered.
Is the tyre included in the callout charge?
No. The proposed £39 next-day or £69 urgent callout is separate from tyre supply and any additional work. The team must confirm your total quote before you agree to proceed.
How is arrival time checked for Armadale?
Our target response is 7–15 minutes when a suitable fitter is nearby. Your location, fitter availability, road conditions and weather affect arrival time. We confirm an estimate before dispatch.
