Choose a tyre budget without losing sight of the full quote

You can be clear about your budget without needing to choose a tyre brand before asking for help. Start with the required specification and the complete cost of the visit, then compare the suitable options the team can actually arrange.

Set a budget for the whole job

Tell the team whether your budget is for each tyre or for the entire appointment. That distinction matters when the callout and additional work are separate. A tyre price that seems to fit your budget may leave too little for the rest of the visit if the figures are mixed together.

Our proposed callout estimates are £39 for a planned appointment and £69 for urgent attendance. Tyres and additional work are extra, with the final quote confirmed before fitting. If timing is flexible, ask about a planned window before deciding how much remains available for tyre supply.

Compare suitable tyres rather than labels alone

The required size and specification come first. Michelin advises checking the vehicle’s tyre dimensions, load index and speed rating when choosing a compatible tyre. A broad description such as budget, mid-range or premium does not replace those details or identify the actual tyre being offered.

Ask for the brand and model of each available option, along with the full specification and price. Explain your typical journeys and any preferences you want to discuss. The team can check the relevant choices without promising that every product in a price category is in stock for your appointment.

Ask the questions that make a decision easier

Request a breakdown for the same quantity and work, then compare the alternatives side by side. Ask what is included in the fitting quote, what is separate and whether any additional task has been identified. If you have requested a particular brand, confirm whether it is available before treating the booking as an order.

Do not feel you need to approve an unspecified tyre just to reserve an appointment. Ask the team to explain the options and final total in plain language. If inspection changes the proposal, agree the new work and cost before proceeding rather than assuming the original guide covers every possible outcome.

A LITTLE PREPARATION

Before you book

  • Say whether your budget is per tyre or total.
  • Confirm the required tyre specification.
  • Compare named products and equivalent work.
  • Agree all charges before approving fitting.
YOUR NEXT STEP

Your tyres, taken care of.

Choose a visit that fits your day. Share your vehicle and location, and we’ll confirm the right tyre, appointment and full quote.

GOOD TO KNOW

Your questions, answered.

Can I request a specific tyre brand?

Yes. Share the brand, model if known and budget. Suitability and availability need checking before the team can confirm it for your visit.

Will the cheapest tyre quote be the cheapest visit?

Not necessarily. Compare the same quantity, specification, callout and work. A lower tyre-only price does not show the complete appointment cost.
