Recognise the complete code
A common example is 205/55 R16 91V. The first number describes width in millimetres; 55 is the sidewall height as a percentage of width; R denotes radial construction; and 16 identifies the wheel diameter in inches. The following number and letter relate to load and speed ratings.
Treat that as an example, rather than a recommendation for your car. Record the markings on the tyre concerned and compare them with the vehicle handbook or manufacturer information. If the tyre is dirty or the markings are difficult to distinguish, ask for help instead of filling in a number that merely seems likely.
Use the suggestions to finish your own size
In our booking form, type the first three width digits, such as 205. Matching tyre sizes appear in a dropdown. Continue typing the rest of the size to narrow the suggestions, then select the exact match if one is shown. The menu is a typing aid, not a vehicle compatibility check.
You can also enter the full marking manually. Include additional letters or rating details you can read rather than replacing them with a more familiar code. If different wheels display different sizes, tell the team which wheel needs attention and provide each relevant marking rather than assuming every tyre is identical.
A photograph can resolve uncertainty
A useful photo shows the size line in focus, including the characters after the wheel diameter. If you only send a photograph of the tread or the wheel face, the information needed to identify the tyre may be missing. Send a wider image as well if you are unsure which markings matter.
If you cannot read the size, use the registration to begin your enquiry and explain that the tyre still needs checking. The team can discuss how to confirm it before agreeing supply. Do not order a tyre solely because a size appears in the dropdown or on a similar vehicle online.

Your questions, answered.
Is 205 enough information to choose a tyre?
No. It is only the beginning of a size code. Use the remaining size and rating details so the required specification can be checked.
What if my size is not in the suggestions?
Enter the full marking manually or send a photo. The suggestions help with typing and do not list every possible tyre or confirm stock.
