If the tyre failed on the approach before you reached Elgol, say so and give the present road pin and direction. Do not place the booking at the pier merely because that was the destination. Keep offshore Loch Coruisk markers out of the vehicle location.
Arrange contact before leaving the car for the water
If you have not boarded, tell your operator about the delay and discuss that booking directly. A tyre enquiry does not change or protect the boat reservation. If you are already back, tell us when someone can remain at the car and be reached.

Do not move a flat tyre down the road to simplify meeting arrangements. Explain if the current position cannot support the work so the next step can be discussed. Tyre fitting, recovery from an unsuitable stopping place and transport for your party are separate arrangements.
