Create one summary for the affected car
Write the registration, make, colour, affected wheel and complete tyre marking in one message. Attach the relevant photograph where it can be obtained safely. If both cars are hired, include the rental provider for the affected one; the other car’s agreement may have a different assistance process.
Ask other travellers to use that same summary rather than describe the tyre from memory. A group chat containing both registrations and several wheel photographs needs clear labels before anything is forwarded for a quote.
Keep each location attached to the correct vehicle
Send the stopped car’s actual pin and parking description. If another traveller goes somewhere with a better signal, their phone location should not become the attendance address. State clearly that the reporting contact is away from the affected vehicle.
Give the entrance, bay and space around the wheel, including any operator access instructions. Do not move the damaged car simply to keep the party together. The stopped position and tyre condition need appropriate assessment before a new location is considered.
Separate communication help from work approval
Name who can meet the fitter, who holds the keys and who can approve the proposed work. Someone helping to make a telephone call may not be the hire agreement holder or authorised decision-maker. Keep the rental company’s instructions with the correct registration.
If travellers split up, agree which contact receives updates and how those reach the person at the car. Tell the team if the main number changes; several competing contacts can delay a simple access or specification question.
Agree a group plan after the tyre arrangement is clear
Share the next hotel, ferry or return deadline as planning information. Review actual supply and attendance options before deciding which travellers continue their day. Keep someone available for the accepted appointment rather than leaving the car unattended without an agreed handover.
Review the proposed service and full total. A confirmed replacement quote includes selected tyre supply and agreed fitting. Once another provider takes responsibility or the enquiry is no longer needed, update the tyre team so everyone works from the same current plan.
Before you book
- One labelled summary for the affected registration.
- Use that car’s pin, not the caller’s location.
- Name the key holder and authorised decision-maker.
- Agree one update contact before the party splits.
Your tyres, taken care of.
Tell us where you’ve safely stopped and what your vehicle needs. We’ll check availability and confirm your quote and arrival estimate.
Your questions, answered.
Can a friend in the second car make the enquiry?
They can help communicate the details through an agreed arrangement. Identify the affected registration and location, and keep the person authorised to approve work reachable.
What if our caller has driven somewhere else for signal?
Say so explicitly and supply the stopped vehicle’s separate pin. A phone’s current location must not accidentally replace the car’s attendance address.
